We are several years into our '67 Corvette BBC Restomod build
it was purchased after being used as a dedicated drag racing Corvette for over 35 years
We separated the body from the frame on 5/6/2020 - over 6 years of time, money & blood, sweat & even a few tears since
Due to several life-issues, this project was delayed by a year and our new target is mid-February 2027; for a large indoor Corvette Show in Galveston
We do have it painted - 100% House of Kolors, black, then blue w/metalumes, then blue/purple colorshift pearl, then white diamond and HOK Show Klear
Freshly Cleared - House of Kolors Show Klear
the Seat Humps before any cut-n-buff
close - still needs a final cut-n-buff
we are in the assembly phase - readying it for Upholstery. This Restomod has more than 74 custom one-off parts, and numerous modified parts
CURRENT UPHOLSTERY PLANNING LIST - US & AREAS NEEDING PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
We need Custom Door Panels, Console Between Seats, Rear Compartment Console, Dash Pads, C6 Corvette Altered Seats, Engine-Compartment Actuator Covers w/boots need full upholstery.
We have chosen two-tone gray with with a special accent piece down the center of the seats, consoles & door panels.
To date, we have carpeted and upholstered many of the non-sewn type parts.
the seat top hasn't been modified in this photo
The console between the seats w/hinged lid
Armresets extend up into the dash pad edge
Seats are heated w/lumbar support
The factory foam needs sectioned or totally replaced
The factory foam also had pockets for side-air-bags that will not be utilized
The C6 Corvette Seat Tops have been lowered to not stick up so high in the Convertible. We would like the tops contoured more like the hump shape
Seat top (modified frame) with seat tilted, is almost matching the hump
Seat Switch Panels & other Misc Parts have been covered
they are aluminum with factory tops, custom wood armrests w/pulls & led lighting slot underneath
we have played with a few ideas on the door panels - definately open to any ideas you might have
the rear console needs padded and stitched similar to what gets done on the front console
The compartments and their lids have been carpeted
The deck lid actuator / hinge covers were padded & covered with boots covering the hinge
we need boots (very similar to a shifter boot) to cover the actuator & hood hinges
The painted radiator cover - needs boots
The 620HP 502 Big Block almost ready to install
The hard top has been upholstered and is finished
The soft top is a NEW factory frame - brand new along with all new rubber
we would typically order an Al Knoch soft top kit and have it installed. We would like the top stayfast fabric to match the interior in some fashion
