This "dedicated Drag Vette" was purchased from Sylvia Hoaldridge after Larry (husband) passed away; when most of the other vehicles, tools, parts, etc. were sold from the estate.
We had eyed this Vette since the 1st time we laid eyes on it ...even though it was a drag vette and we had no interest in racing it.
With the lack of suspension, non-running & non-numbers matching engine and transmission, etc. and damage to the body, a decision to build a restomod came fairly easy.
Timeslips found in the car showed consistent mid-10's in the quarter mile, back in the mid-90's
The '67 was raced primarily in the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) events however it did see tracks outside of that.
The car was outlawed due to too fast with no roll bar/cage along with a couple of other reasons.
We had only seen the Vette outside of the shop one time since meeting them in 2003; it was in 2008, The '67 had been a dedicated drag Vette for 30+ years. From stories we have heard, from the 3rd own to the Hoaldridges it was a Vette that was raced.
