Various Autos I've Painted - ones of Interest anyway

(click on images to view larger images)

These are just a few that I painted - many of them I never took pictures of.

A lot of these pictures are old and didn't scan very well.

1967 Chevelle - owned by Bob & Susan Ashley

The car already had the white base paint and stripes - Bob wanted a "syphilis Germ painted on the back - a cartoon he had seen...

they want it, we could do it...

The trunk was selected for the mural of the "Syphilis Germ" Cop - note the burned rubber on the pavement...

1974 Corvette

A couple of murals and stripes to accent the stock white paintjob

197? Chevrolet El-Camino

This unit came to me brand new off show room floor

197? Honda - Moxie

They just wanted a stripe and a mural on the hood of this little Honda.

Why they wanted a mountain goat on a Honda, I never did find out...

196? Opal GT - Lil' Devil

Some people will have you paint anything.  This was a very wild little Opal GT that was fitted with wide tires/wheels after leaving the shop.

This Airman was just a little strange...

197? Ford Pickup

Wayne brought this one by for a paintjob right after he purchased it.

Flames were added along with murals down the side, in colors that accented the brown truck.

The Pearl flames show up differently as the light reflects on them

close-up of the mountains... guess what the shape is...

Chevy Chevrolet Pickups

There was a time when there was a new pickup daily in the shop, most off the new car lots, getting us to paint murals down the side of them.  3 hours work and an easy $300 per truck.  We would average 2-3 of these a week at minimum.

7? Chevy Pickup - Shortened

This use to be a long-bed Chevy pickup

A 32" section was taken out between the cab and the rear wheels!

We lowered the truck by 6" to get it down on the ground

The truck was a blast to drive, even with the fairly stock 350, it would pull the front wheels off the ground

We built a tonneau cover for the bed from marine plywood and burgundy vinyl, secured with hinges and hood locks.

58 Chevy Pickup

This '58 came in green... a total repaint inside and out - owner picked the paint scheme.
