Douglas McMahan

I am heavily involved in our club, our region and would like to expand my NCCC involvement to the national level, serving as the next NCCC Director of Public Relations

I am soliciting your club's support of me as the next Director of Public Relations, asking for your vote at the September 10th NCCC National Meeting

Being a People's Choice Car Show, the general public was the judge. They only had to stop by the NCCC exhibit, pick up a ballot and then cast a vote for their favorite Corvette any or all of the ten classes/categories. A special Celebrity's Choice award will be presented to the overall Best In Show vehicle.

The NCCC did a GREAT Job on the display groupings as did all the NCCC officers and volunteers that counted the thousands of votes.  If I recall correctly what Nelda (CTV NCCC Governor) & Rodger (NCCC President) Mitchell stated, there were 1,800 ballots with 10 classes per ballot - many countless hours were spent counting counting & tallying the votes.

Pete McGrath's '88 Black Convertible

Viola & Paul Meyers'

'92 Coupe - 4th place in their Class

There were only 270 of the '96 Grand Sport built with this red/black interior

The quantities of the C3s were low, even though there are more C3 years than any other series

LOTS of C5s were in the show

This one tricked out with a custom front bumper and full roll-cage

Wild Graphic Paint on this C5

This California 1993 40th Anniversary Full Custom was one you could spend lots of time looking at.  This was Full Custom, even though he participated in the Northern CA Caravan, which made it a street driven custom.  Lots of on-off custom parts on this one, like the steering wheel that he had built to match the wheels, custom roll-bars, etc.
Mark Zollo's 2000 "Hot Wheelz" won the Full Custom Catagory

Another Full Custom, C3 style... nicely done!

Remember the movie, Corvette Summer?  ...this was a replica of the car in that movie but done a little better with more attention to detail as well.

Some of the Custom Vettes (C3 & older) even sported some of the old 'custom kits' that we saw back in the late '70s & early '80s

This '56 Street Custom was another nice entry
