Thursday, June 26, 2003 - Little Rock, AR, to Nashville, TN

9:00AM Departure

The Caravan kick-off was to start from Bale Chevrolet - however, due to the estimated 1200+ Vettes, congested parking situation and such at the Bale, our mini-caravan decided to skip going to Bale and just hit the road.  As we got on the highway, it appeared that many other folks had the same idea, since we found Vettes all around and in front of us as we reached the highway.

We awoke to a rainy day - of course, we used our car cover - it was soaked!!!!

The combined Caravan will head out towards its final destination, the Nashville/Bowling Green area.

This '62 was crusing down the highway 70+ MPH

A few shots of the Bransom's in Glenda's mirror

followed by "CINBOB" ('98 Coupe)

Glenda & Doug's '93 out the mirror of Sonny & Alyssa's mirror

another shot out the mirror of the '93 & CINBOB

it was fun to look out your review mirrors to see the caravan of Vettes from time to time

If you have ever owned a C3 or C4, you know why these folks took a trailer

it rained hard at times while other times it was more of a mist or sprinkle

Vettes were not the first Caravan for sure - we passed a long Convoy of our Armed Services

we would see this '61 later, once we arrived in Nashville.

We ran into some road construction which caused a delay of well over an hour

The police were coming back on the inside median as we were stopped waiting - we thought maybe it was a bad wreck but it wasn't

finally we got thru the construction and traffic thinned out to a nice pace again

more pictures thru the rear-view mirror

"CINBOB" cruising up behind us

There is nothing like seeing the early 'glass running down the highway!

The closer we got to Nashville, the more Vettes we saw and the heavier traffic became

The Bransom's went on to National Corvette Museum (NCM), which was the destination of all 50th Caravans.  Since we had to get cleaned up and to the NCCC event, we stopped in Nashville @ our hotel

Bowling Green security was present at the NCM

The sign told all - now for 4 days of 50th Celebration Festivities!!!!
