Due the heavy rain forecast for the area, due to Hurricane Bill's aftermath, we opted to part with our TOD Vette Friends and head back home

Guess which way we had to go home???

    ...yep, back thru The Tail!!!!

Looking at the river as we exited the lodge, on our way back up thru the tail.

Due to some slow traffic, we stopped a couple of times to let them get far enough ahead so we could "ENJOY" riding The Tail!!!!

This was by far, the widest pull-offs we found while riding the tail.

One of the wide-spots in the road we pulled over on had a waterfall, coming down out of the mountain side

Want to Experience Riding The Tail???

For the BEST experience, go ride it in person - if you can't do that, enjoy the audio / video clips below that Glenda took using our Digital Camera.  These were taken heading North on the Dragon's Tail - Hwy 129.

We have included links for 2 formats of the video clips - use the one that best represents your Internet Connection - be patient it will download on new page then auto start.

These videos also require QuickTime Player (which is free here)

If you are on a dial-up Internet Connection, these may be very slow to load.

Due to the rain, the windshield wipers along with Glenda being slung from side-to-side of the car, please bear with the crude audio/video clips.
